We are a traditional butcher shop using traditional methods to ensure quality and an enjoyable eating experience every time. Our butchers can offer you over 110 years of experience and will be able to answer your questions with confidence.
We hang all our carcass beef on site for 3 weeks to tenderise the meat and give you more choice as we can then cut to your requirements.
Our Lamb comes from the Southdown flocks and all our Pork and some of our Chickens are free range.
We can take orders to supply you for any catering event from a whole pig for a Hog roast to a rack of lamb for a celebratory dinner.
A range of frozen Exotic meats such as Ostrich, Wild Boar, Crocodile, Kudu, Impala, Springbok, Bison and Camel are available.
We make all our own sausages and burgers on site and are regularly experimenting with new flavours and textures which we ask you to sample at our aforementioned Taster events. We welcome your comments!
Christmas meat orders
We start to take orders for all Christmas meats and poultry during October and will have a comprehensive range of Turkeys from the traditional fresh Copas Bronze to barn reared white Turkeys. Information regarding our full range for Christmas will
usually be made available in October.
Fishmonger
We are pleased to offer Fresh fish and shellfish, caught in the English Channel by the fishermen of Brighton and Newhaven. Peak availability is, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This local supply is enhanced with a variety of fresh fish from around the world subject to availability.
Cooked Lobsters and Crabs from the English Channel (Brighton to Selsey) are available seasonally and your orders are welcome.
Dressed crabs from Littlehampton are also available in season subject to availability.
We have a comprehensive range of frozen seafoods including fish cakes, prawns, scallops, Tiger prawns, crevettes, sardines and paella.
