AT BAIRD'S
 BUTCHERY & FISHMONGER
We offer a
wide range of traditional meats, butchered to your requirements by our
skilled team who boast over 75 years of experience between them.
We source
local game as well as some more unusual, exotic meats such as Ostrich,
Guinea Fowl, Wild Boar and Crocodile. Our range of sausages runs to in
excess of 50 variations including speciality
 Beef, Lamb and Poultry
varieties as well as our Gold award winning Traditional Pork and
Lincolnshire. We are proud of our BBQ meats ranging from over 20 different
succulent marinades to various flavours of pork, beef and lamb burgers,
including gluten free.
We also stock locally caught sea and fresh water
fish, lobsters and crabs as well as a large selection of frozen seafoods
which
are available seasonally. We are able to cater for anything from a simple
bacon sandwich to a full blown hog roast.
 BAKERY & DELICATESSEN
Our in-store Bakery produces a wide range of breads, cakes, savouries and sweets
to suit all tastes and dietary needs.
Why not try some of our award
winning home made Lasagne, Winner of the 2006 London and South East region
best ready meal award. All of our ready meals are made in house using
quality wholesome ingredients - proper food, prepared the old fashioned
way.
Our deli range includes our own cooked hams and knuckles and a feast
of antipasti, pates and salamis.
 GROCERY
Our grocery lines extend into the thousands and are too numerous to
describe, here is a snapshot of some of our more popular lines: -

We have recently introduced a large range of Special dietary need and
organic lines, including dried and tinned pulses, pastas, drinks, sauces
and cakes and biscuits. We also offer Gluten Free, Low Fat, Fat Free, Low
Sugar, Sugar Free and Vegan lines.
 BEERS, WINES AND
CIDERS – Our selection of beers
including many local and unusual real ales extends to over seventy varieties.
We offer a large display of local fruit and vegetable wines as well as
many great wines from the world over.
 OILS,
PRESERVES AND CONDIMENTS
– We have a wonderful
collection of Jams, Preserves, Chutneys, Pickles, Curds, Spreads, Sauces,
Mayonnaises, Dressings, Vinegars, Oils and Honeys. In fact we stock over
30 different kinds of honey from all over the world and we have honey from
the bees from our own farm, which can help hay fever sufferers.
DRIED FOODS – We are very proud of our
whole foods selection and we have a self-service system that has to be
seen to be believed. If we don’t stock it, we can source it but we
currently offer, Lentils, Peas, Beans, Rices, Pastas, Couscous, Soya
products, Nuts, Fruits, Breakfast cereals, Oatmeal and Mueslis plus much
more. We have recently introduced Julian Graves produce and it is proving
very popular.
DRINKS – We stock soft drinks from
all over the UK and worldwide, including Carrot and Prune juices; Soya,
Rice and Oat Milk drinks; Australian Root and ginger Beers; Flavoured Iced
Teas from the USA; as well as squeezing our own fresh orange juice in
store daily.
 CAKES, BISCUITS
AND SNACK FOODS – As
well as those baked in store, we offer a large range of traditional and
locally-produced cakes and biscuits as well as gluten free and low sugar
varieties.
We offer many hand baked and alternative vegetable crisps such
as Parsnip and Beetroot.
 HERBS, SPICES AND STUFFINGS –
With over 40 different stuffing mixes and gravies as well as a huge
range of herbs and spices from Fiddes Payne’s, we are able to offer any
combination of complements to your roasts and casseroles.
 FROZEN
FOODS - Something you are
unable to do at the supermarket is self select your own frozen produce. We
offer a good range of Self service produce from Fieldfare including,
Yorkshire puddings, strawberries, cherries, exotic fruit salads, herbed
potatoes, stir-frys and winter stew mixes.
We also offer delicious local
iced creams and sorbets.
  FRUIT
& VEGETABLES
Daily
deliveries of Fruit and Vegetables ensure that our greengrocery is always
fresh and appetising. We source much of our produce from local growers
depending upon the season, including; Carrots, lettuces, cucumbers,
tomatoes, spinach, herbs, potatoes, spring onions and much more.
We also
offer a full range of fruit and vegetables from all over the world.
 GARDEN CENTRE
We have a
small area dedicated to the display of top quality plants and flowers.
We
support around 10 local growers and have many other items such as
Composts, Gravels, Pots, Hanging Baskets, Fertilisers, Bird Tables and Pet
Foods etc etc.
